In the March 2009 issues of Information Management magazine, there is a short snapshot of the state of pervasive business intelligence (BI). For the uninitiated, pervasive BI (or ambient BI as I like to call it) is all about increasing the audience for BI within an organization and giving it a broader distribution and more tactical focus. The point is to put BI where people work, so they have the information necessary to make better decisions within their individual role.
